- Yonsei-Ewha-Sogang (YES) seminars
- 게시글 내용
This semester we are again organizing joint Yonsei-Ewha-Sogang Young Economists Seminars (YES YES!!) for Graduate Students. The purpose of the seminars is to encourage interaction among graduate students of our three programs; and provide you with inspiration, feedback on your presentation, and potentially even a research network for your own work. If nothing else, it is a chance for a short pizza-&-coffee break from studying.
In each seminar, 2-3 students will give short paper presentations in English. You can
1) present your own ongoing research project (early empirical and theoretical results, experimental designs, or advanced projects are all welcome)
2) present others’ interesting papers.
Although not necessary, it can be useful if you have research ideas that change/extend some aspects of the paper you present. By explaining your research plans, you may stimulate discussion and get feedback. As a group, we will discuss the presented research and then enjoy informal talk over pizza and drinks. Please join us at least for a few minutes, and encourage your friends to come too. This is a great opportunity for you to meet fellow Economics students at YES universities, and enjoy some snacks together.
The first seminar is on Friday May 10, 5:30-7:00pm, at Sogang (room to be announced soon). The following seminars will be held at the beginning of June, and in July.
We are looking for volunteers to present on May 10 or in the following seminars. Please email us (Youjin Hahn, firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would consider giving a 20-30 minute talk, by April 30th. Your email should say which of the two options you choose and which field your presentation fits. We’ll try to put papers in similar fields in the same session.
