Title: A Game-Theoretic Matching Approach for Policy Evaluation in Social Networks

Abstract: When individuals' social interactions influence their treatment choices, we should take the interference into consideration when using matching methods to estimate treatment effects. This paper proposes explicitly modeling treatment choices as outcomes of Bayesian-Nash games in social networks, and calculating tilted propensity scores for matching methods accordingly. With the tilted propensity scores, we can identify and estimate treatment effects by conditioning on demographic characteristics and network positions. As an illustration, the impacts of exercise on depression status and academic performance are calculated for high school students in the Add Health dataset.
